Hebrews 11:1
Jon grew up in a family that has a rich background in the game of golf. His father, Rad Yaun, played for Jacksonville University and was inducted into the JU Athletic Hall of Fame. His mother, Meredith Marshall Yaun played collegiately for the University of Miami and graduated from Florida International University. Meredith played professionally on the Ladies European Tour and was the first American woman to win the Scottish Open. Jon's sister, Catherine, played collegiately for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
When small, Jon's parents sought to instill a high regard for golf and kept the focus on learning and loving the game. It wasn't until after attending the Outback Steakhouse Championship that the then-10-year-old expressed the desire to one day play professionally.
Played for Liberty University as a member of the Golf Team under Head Coach Jeff Thomas from 2018-2023.
He won 3 times for the Flames including the Inaugural Folds of Honor Collegiate at the famous American Dunes Golf Club located in Grand Haven, Michigan.
Played with full status on PGA Tour Canada in 2023 and Canadian Swing of PGA Tour Americas in 2024.
When not competing, he is a Golf Performance Coach at Green Valley Country Club in Clermont, Florida and Volunteer Assistant Coach Lake Sumter State College under Coach Merdith.
Jon's support team is comprised of his coaches, trainers, spiritual mentors, and a large network of family and friends.
